" Merit Karma (punya) is a ‘file’ [that which needs to be dealt with, with equanimity], and demerit karma (paap) is also a ‘file’. Merit Karma make one lazy in spiritual progress and demerit karma keeps one in awareness. "
― Dada Bhagwan , The Science of Karma
" Importance is not of ‘discharge’ (of karmas) that occurs; but the importance is that of the ‘dhyan’ (internal state of being) at that time in effect. "
" When can one go to the final destination of the religion? You will be allowed there if you attain the attribute of forgiveness, otherwise you will not be allowed entry. "
" Charge' always keeps on worshipping the 'discharge'. "
" It is considered pure ‘discharge’ (of karma) when a person does no ‘planning’. Charging occurs where there is planning. Discharge is of natural characteristics. There is no pain in it. "
" What is 'discharge'? It will not move away till it’s time has come. Discharge does not happen at your convenience, if you are in a hurry. "
" Worship whatever is spiritual, then it is possible to attain spirituality. Where true spirituality exists, there is nothing related to sensual pleasures, stealing, violence, lying or worldly acquisitions (parigraha). If you sit in a place where all these do not exist, you will be able to move ahead. "
" To show humility [vinaya] towards disrespect [avinaya] is strong humility [gaadha vinaya). To maintain humility even when a disrespectful person slaps you; that is called absolute strongest humility [param avgaadha vinaya]. "
" What does 'community service' mean? It destroys 'my' (sense of attachment for specific things, especially oneself) for the most part. If 'my' were to be destroyed completely, then One (the awakened Self, potey) is indeed the absolute Self (parmatma)! Then for Him, bliss will definitely prevail, will it not! "
" Birth and death are not of the Soul (Atma). The Soul is a permanent element. This birth and death are of the egoism. "
" Wherever there is any unsteadiness (restlessness), there is worldly life (sansaar) there. "
" One has never [truly] understood, and whatever understanding one acquires, it goes away. Such is this path to moksha; it is incomprehensible (beyond the comprehension of senses) and imperceptible. "
" As much as a person is unsteady (restless), that much entanglements he shall create. "
" The senses (indriyas) keep carrying out their functions. But when do those functions (dharmas) become karmically binding? When one becomes controlled by his mind. "
" What is this worldly life based on? Ignorance (of the Self). The world gives support to good habits and tries to get rid of the bad ones. Once the support is gone, all else is gone. "
" In one sentence of a ‘factual thing’, there is the essence of infinite scriptures. "
" The desire (ichchha) to indulge in happiness that is temporary is referred to as spruha. "
" The doer is someone else, yet to say, 'I am doing it,' is a false attribution; due to which one earns the next life. If one were to understand, 'Who is the doer' then the next life would cease to happen. The false attribution itself is the seed for the next life. "
" If you attempt to prove the truth as the truth, it will prove to be untrue. In this world, the truth is not worth proving. "
" The mere environment around the Gnani Purush gives one the experience of liberation (moksha); the world remains absent from memory (vismrut)! "
