" Without sheelvan (the highest state of conduct in worldly interactions, free of the intent to hurt, free of sexuality and charaterized by sincerity, morality, straightforwardness, humility, naturalness amongst other attributes), the power of speech that gives results (vachanbud) will not arise. "
― Dada Bhagwan , The Science of Karma
" No one takes birth. Being born is an ‘effect’. Birth takes place automatically. If the causes are nurtured, rebirth is inevitable. The Gnani Purush (the enlightened one) can put a stop to the ‘causes’ and so only the effect will remain. "
" No Action is possible without a Reason. Action is an ‘Effect’, Reason is a ‘Cause’. ‘Causes’ and ‘effect’, ‘effect’ and ‘causes’…this is how such routine cycle goes on. Changes can be made in causes but not in effect. "
" All these people get married for happiness, but the poor people become miserable within. That is because it is not under one’s control whether to be happy or miserable. It is dependent on the effect of one’s past deeds (karma). One has no choice. One has to endure them. "
" When planning (karmic causes) is being done, if One (Self) becomes engrossed in that situation, that means in the situation, he became situated (avasthit). The state, of becoming situated (avasthit), then mixes with nature and when that result comes into effect; that is result of scientific circumstantial evidence (vyavasthit). "
" People have seen the ‘theory of doership’, but they have not seen the ‘theory of karma’. ‘This man insulted me’, is a ‘theory of doership’; and ‘he is cursing me as a result of unfolding of my karma’, is ‘theory of karma’. If one understands the ‘theory of karma’, he will not see anyone’s fault. "
" The relationship with the world is a relative one; it is not a real (tatvik; eternal) relation. If one becomes aware of this, one can come out of it. "
" Right vision (samkit) continues to work day and night; wrong vision (mithyatva) continues to work day and night. Samkit will take one to moksha and mithyatva will make one wander around in the worldly life. "
" One Situated in a situation’ (Avasthit) is ‘causes’ and result of scientific circumstantial evidence (vyavasthit) is an ‘effect’. The energy of avasthit is “causes of action”. The energy of avasthit can be changed, Vyavasthit shakti (result of scientific circumstantial evidence) cannot be changed. "
" Everything is mandatory in the world. Dying is mandatory, and being born is mandatory. So discover that which is of your own volition. "
" As long as you are the doer, you will bind karma. Karma is based on doership. When Gnani Purush (the enlightened one) removes this base (of doership), charging of karma stops. Then only discharge of karmas remains. "
" The entire world lives for someone else (other than his own true self). No one belongs to us. And it is only with others, does one create problems before he dies. "
" Acting egotistically as ‘I am this body’, with no consciousness of the self, is karma. But anything done ‘dramatically, as the Knower-Seer, while remaining as the Self, is not karma. "
" Death means nature’s take over. One has to leave behind all his earnings (wealth) and take with him all the problems (he has created with others). "
" Nature is taking the test; if one does not raise any objection in that, then one passes. "
" Karma alone does not take care of everything. One had made a desire of enjoying sex. He does that one karma. So what does parsatta (nature, the other power) say at that time? ‘We cannot give you just the karma of sex, in this world. We have to look at everything around it. So we have to give you a wife, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, aunt-in-law, we have to give you all that too!!’ In wanting just a wife, how much more became latched on to it! What a fiasco! How can one untangle from this web? "
" The worldly life is an ‘ocean’. People have drowned in it without any water in it.One can be saved if he drowns in the ocean water, but how can he be saved if he has drowned in this ocean of worldly life? "
" The worldly life is mandatory. ‘One’ has never come into the ‘voluntary’ realm even for a second. "
" There is a great difference between actions that ‘happen’ and actions that ‘should be done’. You may carry out actions that come as a karmic effect. But do not plan for actions that do not come as karmic effect, saying ‘this action must be done; we have to do this way only’, otherwise that same action will come as a karmic effect (in the next life; karma will be charged). "
" What is the balance-sheet of the worldly life? Is it a profit or is it a loss? There is a loss for the one with a twelve bedroom house, and there is a loss for the one with a two bedroom house. The loss is not in the rooms, it is in your own self. Why don’t you look for it! "
