" The foundation of sansar (worldly life) is made up of attachment and abhorrence, and the foundation of Gnan (knowledge of the Self) is made up of Vitaraagata (total absence of attachment and abhorrence)! "
― Dada Bhagwan , The Science of Karma
" Causes for attachment are formed at the same time that abhorrence is occurring. Acquaintance up to a certain point will result in attachment and if it reaches ‘ridge point’ and goes past further; it will result in abhorrence. "
" If everyone at home is healthy, then understand that there is a profit. At that time, even if there is a loss in the business ledger, that is still considered a profit! Whether the health of the business fares well or not, the health of the people at home should not spoil. "
" Real Purusharth (spiritual effort to progress as the Self) is shukladhyan (the internal state that renders the constant awareness of ‘I am pure Soul’). While relative purusharth (effort) is dharmadhyan (the virtuous internal state of being that prevents one from hurting oneself or others). "
" Your vyavahaar (worldly interactions) should be pure, only then can the self become pure. Nobody should complain [about you]. "
" Fruit of good intent is sweet and fruit of bad intent is bitter, and if one becomes free from good and bad intents, he attains the state of the Absolute Supreme Self (Parmatma). "
" Firm Decision (Nischaya) is the only self effort (purushartha). "
" It is called Purusharth (real spiritual effort) if it certainly becomes fruitful! "
" When all the circumstances come together and the work gets done, it is called prarabdha (ordained effect of previous lives causes). And when the circumstances come together through which the work is being done, the dhyan (spontaneous inner intents) that arises at that time, is called purushartha (self effort; new causes of next life). "
" There are two types of purushartha (self effort): those with wrong beliefs have self effort (purusharth) with illusory vision and the enlightened one’s have self effort (purusharth) with right knowledge. "
" Gross circumstances (that which can be seen) are illusory, subtle (sookshma) circumstances are mechanical, and circumstances of the speech are in the form of a ‘record’. ‘We’ are only trying to say to the world that all actions of the mind, speech and body are scientific circumstantial evidences, and ‘You” (the Self) are independent. ‘You’ are separate from the inner intent (bhaav). Therefore, just change your inner intent (bhaav). Do not get distressed over the actions of the mind, speech and body; just change your inner intent. "
" You have to see just one thing the “positive”. The world is on the path of the positive and the negative. Sooner or later, it will make the negative into positive. So why not make it positive right from the start? "
" There are only two things, ‘positive’ and ‘negative’. If you remain negative, whom would nature help? We should not have ‘negative’ in our dictionary. "
" Negative’ does not become ‘positive’ and ‘positive’ does not become ‘negative’. Because both are dualities and ‘one’ is beyond duality. "
" There is tremendous energy in the word ‘yes’ and tremendous weakness in the word ‘no’. "
" He who does not get involved in good deeds and bad deeds is an enlightened one (Gnani). "
" One will keep on charging new karma as long as there is the awareness of ‘I am the doer’. In the ‘akram-marg’ (step-less, direct path to Self-realization), ‘We’ (enlightened one, Dadabhagwan) dissolve your ‘doer-ship’. The awareness that ‘I am the doer’ goes away and the understanding of ‘who the doer is’ is given. Therefore, the charging (of karma) stops! What is left now? Only the form of ‘discharge’ is left. "
" When the charging (of karma) stops, the binding of new 'sansar' (worldly life) ends. The state that 'I am the doer' never leaves without a 'Gnani' (Enlightened one). "
" There is no means other than Vitaraag Vignan (Science that leads to the absolute state free of attachment-abhorrence) that can give Moksha (ultimate liberation). Other methods will cause bondage and will only help to pass the time. Through Gnani Purush (Enlightened One), one is able to attain the Eternal thing (Soul). "
" A person is not a ‘doer’ in this world. When one believes that ‘I am the doer’ is when the ‘charging’ (of karma) occurs. When one tastes egoistic pride of, “I did this samayik (spiritual introspection), I did these activities,” is when the ‘charging’ occurs. The taste of egoistic pride is very sweet. "
