Louise Burfitt-Dons

Louise Burfitt-Dons is the author of a British contemporary political thriller series which tackles the threat from both ISIS and the Far Right and features a London-based Private Investigator Karen Andersen. The first book She based The Missing Activist published 2018 on her experiences as a candidate in the UK General Election of 2015. The sequel The Killing of the Cherrywood MP released in March 2020. Book 3 in the series is The Secret War

A former playwright, she also writes screenplays. US TV releases include Mother of All Secrets,(Lifetime) Your Husband is Mine (Lifetime) Christmas in the Highlands (European TV channels December 2019)Kidnapped to the Island (Lifetime) Christmas at the Castle (Lifetime)
Non fiction titles include Act Against Bullying. She founded the children’s charity
Act Against Bullying
in the same name in 2003. She wrote Moderating Feminism after chairing so many spirited feminist debates.

Born in Kuwait, she has lived in Australia and France, and the UK. Louise has also written under the name of Louise Byres. She lives with her ex-pilot husband Donald in London.
