" I wasn’t dying alone. My beloved was dying with me. "
― Jannat Bhat , Love Revisited
" Will you?” Chris asks in a harsh tone, his face an emotionless mask except for his gorgeous eyes which at this moment were so cold, I almost shivered.“Will I what?” I ask him in a soft tone.“Marry him?”I say nothing. How could he even ask me that? “Chris I would rather die than give myself to anyone else but you, you should know that.” My eyes start to sting with tears. Did he not know the extent of my love for him? He then grabbed my waist and pulled me hard against him and kissed me with such passion, I forgot who, where and what I was. All I could think about was his kiss and how it consumed me. "
" There he was. Right in the middle of the room. The guy from my dreams. The same Dark hair, same face, same eyes. Only this time, he was bleeding from the front of his shirt. As if he had been shot or stabbed. "
" To live is to feel "
" He grips the back of my head and closes the little distance between us. His kiss was different than earlier. It was more forceful and desperate. As if he had finally found what he was looking for. He pushed me lightly on my back until my head lay on the pillow. But he never broke the kiss. I gripped his shirt more tightly in my to let him know that I would be there for him, that my love would be there whenever he was in of it. He tears his mouth away from mine and rests his head on my shoulder while we stay still and try to get our breathing under control once again. "
" I love your car.” I tell him as he starts the engine.“Thanks. I do too.” He says steering the car to the main road.“Can I drive it someday?” I ask, willing him to say yes.“Sure. Someday.” He says, a corner of his lips slightly lifting up.“I’m serious.” I pout.He looks at me, "So am I. Someday, you can drive her.” And then adds “Maybe” very quietly, I could barely hear him.I narrow my eyes at him. “Why are you so against this?”“I’m not-“ He sighs then as he turns at a corner. “It’s just, this car is my baby-““So.” I interrupt him abruptly.“So, do you even know how to drive, Rose? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you behind the wheels.”“I’ve never seen you take a shower that doesn’t mean you don’t take a bath, does it?” I try to give him an example than blush furiously as Alex raises an eyebrow at me. How do I always manage to get myself in these situations with him?“You are welcome to come and see me shower at any given moment.” He says.“Stop it.” I look out the window so he doesn’t notice just how red my cheeks were.“No seriously, you don’t even have to ask.”“How about you just dig a hole at the side of the road, and I’ll jump into it. "
" His father’s face hardens and he looks at me. Something in his face changes, but it’s gone before I could point out what exactly it was. “And who is this?”“She-“ Alex pulls me to him and backs away, ”-is none of your business.”We start to walk but his father grabs my upper arm and stops me in place. I recoiled at his touch. Alex steps forward, his face furious as he rips his father’s hand off my arm, “Don’t you dare touch her-“ Alex hisses hatefully at him,”- don’t you fucking dare. "
" My world was crashing down around me. I had to get to Chris. He was my anchor. I ran off without another word, my parents yelling for me to stop. How could I? Christopher needed me now more than ever. How could I just sit around doing nothing within the safe confines of my home while he was out there probably fighting for his life? I run and keep running and don’t stop until I feel the heat of the flames of the burning house. There was a small crowd surrounding it, doing what little they could to put the fire out. But I knew it was futile. The raging fire was out of control. It wouldn’t go out until it ends what is left of the house. I stand there in shock as my worst nightmare comes to life in front of my eyes. "
" It had been three days, since I had seen the sun, or humans for that matter. I admit, I was sulking. And on top of that I was pissed, since a certain someone refused to believe me and hadn’t called even after saying he would. I ignored all other calls except the one I wanted to answer. The one that never came. Why won’t he believe me? I whine out loud, my voice echoing in my room. I hear a knock on the main door and dash towards it, I look out the peep hole. Of course, my friends would check up on me, see if I was dead or alive, but the love of my life couldn’t even bother to call. "
