1 " To be naked and raw and vulnerable in front of one person and in front of the world: that’s ecstasy. And it’s the hardest thing, seemingly, there is to do: to simply, and openly, be. "
― Eva Live , Being and Belonging: A Memoir in Poetry
2 " These words — see you next week — sounded a death knell in my soul. They spoke a trite, shallow ode to what it means to be a human connecting with other humans. One hour a week of perfunctory connective expression should do it. Should meet the needs of souls who scream and hunger and long to experience union, one with another. No but 60 minutes of shallow should be enough to not rock the boat. To not break into someone's life, not make anyone uncomfortable, follow the rules of a society that says we should keep a smile on the outside of our faces. "
