" For the one whose association improves, everything indeed improves. Everything indeed gets ruined, for the one who gets into bad or harmful associations. "
― Dada Bhagwan , The Guru and The Disciple
" As long as one does not have Knowledge of the Self, his renunciation (tyaag) will give result. And after attaining the Knowledge of the Self, there is no renunciation; there is only a vow (vrat). A vow is that which prevails on its own. "
" By natural law there are two parts to everything; ‘relative’ and ‘real’. By praying to a picture, the 'relative' mail reaches Lord Krishna , and in the ‘real’ it is indeed the worship of the Self within you. "
" In this world, there is truly no one who is your relative. And those who are, are in the form of a 'relation'. "
" One’s worldly interaction should be ideal. If one becomes ‘sticky’ (does attachment-abhorrence) in his worldly interactions, he will become kashayi (develop anger-pride-deceit-greed). The worldly life is like a boat. In this boat, you can eat snacks, drink tea. But you should know that with this boat, we have to reach the shore. "
" The whole world can be happy on us. The world is not wrong. Our hunger gets in the way. When the hunger gets over, one will become free from all boundaries. "
" This is indeed the nature of worldly life, isn’t it? We anticipate happiness in old age. But in old age we develop severe back pain, which will not let us sit peacefully. That is why people are searching for moksha [ultimate liberation]; once we reach our own place, there will be no problems, right? "
" The science of the absolutely detached Lords, is the ultimate science. Beyond it, nothing at all remains to be known. "
" Despite knowing and seeing through the senses, if one remains free from attachment-abhorrence, it is called knowledge beyond the senses (atindriya-gnan). But if one has attachment-abhorrence, then one is seeing and knowing through the knowledge of the senses (indriya-gnan). "
" What is the sign of a true Disciple? There should be not be any svacchand (actions that are done as per own’s own understanding only), no abhinivesh (taking things for granted), no drashtirog (deluded vision), no conflicts. There will be no artadhyan (to be in pain within oneself for various reasons) and no raudradhyan (to have intent of giving pain to others). "
" Purusharth (effort) is in the form of planning (cause), whereas prarabdh (unfolding of past life karma) is that which materializes as an effect. "
" The body is pudgal parinaam (the resultant state of that which is continuously undergoing change through the process of input and output) and Swa-parinaam (the resultant state as the Self) is within. The entire world is pudgal parinaam. "
" How much is the absence of ownership of the mind-body-speech complex (pudgal, the relative self), that much is the experience of the ownership of Real Self. "
" If you meet a ‘Gnani’ (a Self-realized One), then you simply have to understand [what He says], whereas if you meet a renunciate, then the entire point is of 'doing'; you have to 'do' what he shows you to 'do'. Everything that you have to 'do' is [considered as] worldly life. "
" People of the world say that, "Absolute Knowledge (Keval Gnan) is a thing to 'do'." No, it is something to be known! That which needs 'doing' is already taken care of by nature. 'To do' is itself an illusion. This energy is doing things for you with such grandeur! At least recognize this energy. God does not do anything of this sort at all. This is indeed the work of vyavasthit shakti (the energy of scientific circumstantial evidences). "
" Dehadhyas (the belief that ‘I am the body’) is to continue believing you are someone that you really are not. If you do not believe the body to be yours, but you believe that the mind is yours, then manodhyas (the belief that 'I am the mind') still remains. "
" It is considered as becoming free from dehadhyas (the belief that, 'I am the body') when the atmabuddhi (the intellect oriented towards the Self) Knows [realizes] the Self. "
" With a pure heart, the one who sincerely wants to know only the Soul and does not want any worldly comforts; the enlightened one (Gnani Purush) will come to him & his work will be done. A pure heart is required. "
" The 'real' has to be revered, and 'the relative' has to be known; One has to dwell in 'the real'. "
" I’ do not know [how to do] anything in the worldly life. ‘I’ do not know anything at all. ‘I’ know only about the Self [The soul]. The Self is the Knower-Seer; that I know. Whatever the Self sees, I can see that. "
