" By acquiring Gnan (true worldly knowledge) one can tell 'what is right' and 'what is wrong', it makes one have discretion between good and bad; whereas by Knowing Vignan (spiritual science), one attains liberation. By acquiring Gnan (true worldly knowledge) one gets awareness of what is beneficial and what is harmful. "
― Dada Bhagwan , Right Understanding To Helping Others: Benevolence (in Gujarati)
" What is the greatest benefit in the world? The association with good people. Those who are considered somewhat worthy of reverence by society. "
" Everything depends upon 'normality'. If there is normality, then not even the slightest difficulty will be faced. "
" Who is able to prevail in the present? The One who says, "Yes. "
" If the one who is experiencing the kashay (anger-pride-deceit-greed), gets rid of the kashay then there is not telling when he will do something erroneous. And if the One who remains in the awareness of the Self gets rid of the kashay, then he swims through the ocean of the worldly life! "
" To constantly remain in the intent [by conviction] of the 'real viewpoint' and the 'relative viewpoint' is absolute Knowledge (keval Gnan). The moment that intent completes [in experience], absolute Knowledge manifests completely. "
" By the relative viewpoint (vyavahar), you (relative self) are the doer and by the real viewpoint (Nischay), You (as the Self) are the non-doer. This is what Lord Mahavir says. "
" As long as you have to take support from anything, until then it is prarabdh (effect of past life karma). "
" However many attributes that you can see of yourself at the moment, they are not yours, they are false attributions, they are 'cultured' (developed). 'Your' properties (guna) are of a completely different kind. You have not seen them, you have not known them; You do not Know even a single property. "
" The vyavahaar (worldly interaction) which has come into being should never be pushed away. First comes vyavahaar, then Nischay. "
" People are suffering from internal pain, external pain, trividha taap [pain from all sides]. What is there to achieve after the internal suffering stops? The internal suffering binds karma, and the external suffering releases you from karma; it lends to discharge of karma. "
" It is knowledge (gnan) indeed that runs everything. All the actions (kriyao) are actually carried out by the knowledge (gnan). The result of following according to what the Gnani's have said is cessation of worldly intents (virati)! And the result of worldly knowledge is continuation of worldly intents (avirati)! "
" When there is no peace in prosperity, then how can there be peace in misfortune? Happiness is not in misfortune or prosperity, happiness is in realizing the Self. "
" One has to 'do' for worldly happiness, for material happiness. However, one does not have to 'do' anything for liberation (moksha) or to attain God. Yet what do the people of the present times teach? 'Do', 'do', 'do'. "
" Even the Lord has praised the saiyamdhari (One who possesses a state free of anger-pride-deceit-greed, attachment and abhorrence). A saiyamdhari is not afraid of death. The devotional viewing (darshan) of a saiyamdhari needs to be done. "
" This worldly life is an ocean of unhappiness. It is just beyond comprehension how people have found happiness in it. Just as a drunken man sticks his hand in the gutter and says, "This feels very cool to me, it's very cooling;" similarly people are just believing that there is happiness in it! "
" Contracts with those who are present will be helpful (taking the benefit of the one who wants to give spiritual knowledge), afterwards they become history. "
" What is nature like? It does not allow any living being to do what it wants even to the slightest extent. But the one through whom no-one is hurt even to the slightest extent, be it through mind, speech or conduct, nature gives such a person all the authority to do what they want. "
" One only has the authority (right) of the intent [bhaav-satta] of doing pratikraman and praktykhyan. "
" This worldly life is nothing but an entrapment. So then, where can one go? If one is stuck in a mire then he cannot even get out of it, as he tries to get out of it, he sinks in it even deeper. Similarly, if one gets trapped in this fantasizing, then how can be become free? "
