Rio Haminoto

Joseph Rio Jovian Haminoto was born in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1973. He attended Santa Ursula Kindergarten and Elementary School, and continued his Junior and High School at Canisius College.

During his study at Canisius College, Rio started his passion in writings with his first-published short story in teenage magazine, Hai, titled "Manhattan’s Story".

In 1997 Rio graduated from Clark University (Worcester, Massachusetts, United States) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government. He thereafter published his three pre-work writings; Don Joviano (1998), Kionelle: The Avenue to Northern Ireland (2007) and Catatan Si Boy (2009).

In 2016, Rio graduated from The University of Oxford with a Master of Science degree in Major Programme Management. He is an Oxford Business Alumni Ambassador to Indonesia and a member of St. Hugh's College in Oxford, United Kingdom.
