Scott Dikkers

Scott Dikkers is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of “How to Write Funny.” He's also the founder of TheOnion.com and The AV Club.

He self-published his first book, "I Went to College and it was okay," a collection of his "Jim's Journal" comics, in 1989. Since then, he's written or co-written over 30 books of humor, including "The Onion's Our Dumb Century," winner of the Thurber Prize for American Humor.

Nowadays Scott writes novels (his most recent is "The Joke at the End of the World"), performs on the lecture circuit (through Keppler Speakers Bureau), and teaches comedy (at howtowritefunny.com).
