Neil Gevisser

Neil Gevisser was born in Durban, South Africa and responded to the atrocities of Apartheid through poetry and music. At 21 he rose to fame on the South African University campus after releasing an anti-government poetry book. Picking up the Pieces of Yourself. Six months later, he was given eight hours to leave South Africa to avoid facing jail. It wasn't until 2005 that his passport was returned to him. He now lives in Stockwell, London.
