Karen         Anderson

I own Alberta Food Tours Inc. and write about food and travel for all forms of media.

After interviewing Noorbanu Nimji for CBC radio, I became her recipe testing, co-author and production editor. We spent 9 joyous years writing our cookbook, released it in December of 2015 and were rewarded with Silver Medals at both the Independent Publishers Book Awards and the Taste Canada Awards for outstanding Canadian food writing.

My current projects include a new Indian cookbook with my photographer Pauli-Ann Carriere and a book for Touchwood Editions called Food Artisans of Alberta.

I'm passionate about connecting people with the source of their food and the joy of cooking and sharing it.
