N.J. Kulkarni

Hi. I am Nita. My journalism career started with freelance work for the Times of India and Deccan Herald in Bangalore, and later for The Statesman (Kolkata). I worked part-time for The Telegraph (Kolkata), and A&M (Advertising & Marketing Magazine). My full time work was with the Economic Times and Business Today. I have also free-lanced for magazines and other mainstream Indian newspapers.

My creative writing continued even as I worked as a journalist. Quite a few of my short stories were published in newspapers. One of these stories has been published in a textbook by the Educational Department of Norway for the Upper Secondary.

The Hawa Mahal Murders is my first novel. I am currently writing a sequel to this.

I am also an experienced hand-reader and am writing a book on the hands of famous people.
