The story, set during the French and Indian War in the 1750’s begins in England and spans the colonies. The author calls it-
“. . . a uniquely American tale replete with self -serving opportunists, a pickpocket, a Scottish giant, a female Indian warrior, brawlers, and too many murderers and thieves to count. Essentially its Peter Pan for grown-ups.”
