Cassandra Reeder

Cassandra Reeder is an author, avid home cook, and lifetime geek. The first fictional food recipe she made was Tree Star Cookies inspired by The Land Before Time at age six. Her love for cooking, video games, fantasy and science fiction led to the creation of geekychef.com in 2008. The goal of Geeky Chef is to aid the geek and fandom communities in making their favorite fictional foods a reality.

In 2014, she released the Geeky Chef Cookbook, which, to her immense delight and gratitude, has been very well-received. In September of 2017, a follow-up cookbook, The Geeky Chef Strikes Back, was released, followed by a cocktail book called The Geeky Chef Drinks. In 2020, two gorgeous hardcover editions of her works were published. In 2022, Cassandra created The Unofficial Princess Bride Cookbook, a delicious celebration of the classic cult film.

Cassandra has been helping other geeks and nerds all over the world make their fictional food dreams come true for well over a decade. She is passionate about bringing fantasy worlds to life through cuisine. Each dish is painstakingly researched and tested to make the final product taste and/or look as close to the source material as possible.

Cassandra currently lives in Portland, OR with her husband and two children and pet parrot. Despite what conclusions you may have come to, she is not a pirate.
