Previously, Kreig was President/CEO of the Wireless Communications Association from 1996 to 2008 in its worldwide advocacy to create a wireless broadband industry. He holds degrees from Yale Law School and the University of Chicago School of Law, and a b.a. in history from Cornell University. In 1987, he authored "Spiked: How Chain Management Corrupted America’s Oldest Newspaper," a pioneering case study of changes affecting the news industry.
He has lectured on communications issues on five continents, and co-hosted "MTL Washington Update," a weekly public affairs radio show for more than six years. Also, he is a strategic and business consultant active on several boards.
