Janey Colbourne

Janey Colbourne is a performance poet, nonfiction writer and musician, a left-handed, green-blooded, outspoken cheeky feminist, a caffeinated perambulating dictionary, extruding linguistic linguini. She is a regular contributor to Earth Pathways Diary. Janey is active on the poetry open mic scene in the North West and has been a featured performer at various community and charity events including Manchester Histories Soapbox, We Shall Overcome, Truth To Power Cafe, and Wigan Diggers’ Festival 2019. Her performances have been described as powerful, beautiful, courageous, uplifting, fun, open, generous, and ‘on fire’. She is cavorting on the edge of cackling, with strong words but a soft heart, blazing a trail in bleeding ink with the gleeful intent to vent against injustice and rewrite the future in hope and solidarity, for a growing, life-affirming, glorious diversity on this beautiful planet earth.
