Barbara Post-Askin

Barbara Post-Askin was born June 5, 1931 and grew up in Brooklyn, New York during the Great Depression and World War II. Barbara’s journey through these challenging times inspired her thirst for history and validated the power of liberty America was built on.

Decades later this self-proclaimed history buff and Great-Grandmother was compelled to write her memoirs as a gift to her family. America was once again being challenged, but this time from within. Barbara wanted to ensure the foundation of freedom that our Country was built on, would not be forgotten by future generations. Reflections of Liberty reminds us of what made this Country great, and how each of us must take responsibility for our liberty.

Barbara was married to the love of her life, David Askin until his passing in 1993. Their lasting love brought them three beautiful children to carry on their legacy. When not, antiquing, traveling to far off places, watching movies, or spending time with her family, she is usually being chased by her children in a futile attempt to temper her enthusiasm for the next great adventure.
