Chrissi Sepe

I write literary novels about outsiders. My favorite author is Banana Yoshimoto, and after reading "Kitchen," I decided I wanted to write a novel that made me feel the same way "Kitchen" did, the result of which is my novel, "Bliss, Bliss, Bliss." My latest novel, "Iggy Gorgess," is about a 22 year-old punk male writer living in Greenwich Village, NYC in the 1980's.

I am a "Twilight Zone" fanatic -- 1960's, 1980's and 1990's -- any version of the show will do. If I could go back in time, I'd choose that rainy evening on Lake Geneva, Summer of 1816, when Lord Byron challenged his guests to write their own horror story, resulting in his most famous guest, Mary Shelley, writing "Frankenstein."

My other obsessions are the ocean, mermaids, and to find a novel similar to Timothy Findley's "Pilgrim," which portrayed Carl Jung as a fictitious character so I doubt I'll ever find it!

I play piano, violin, backgammon, and I am a licensed graphologist which is a fancy term for the fact that I completed and passed an intensive course on handwriting analysis.
