" Happiness is always there. You just have to choose to see it. There's no point dwelling in the dark and ignoring the light of the stars. "
― Carrie Hope Fletcher
" A life lived in fear is a life half lived. "
― Carrie Hope Fletcher , All I Know Now: Wonderings and Reflections on Growing Up Gracefully
" Don't ditch your childhood dreams just because you dreamt them up as a child. "
" Pursuing dreams can be daunting. It feels like you're standing on the edge of a cliff staring at your dream as it sits on a cloud, floating out in the open air, and all you need to do is take that leap to see if you'll fall or if you'll fly. "
" I think about it all the time, about what makes everyone who they are, and if we went back in time and changed anything, whether or not it would make a difference. Would it make us better or worse, or would we just stay exactly the same because we were always destined to end up this way no matter what happened throughout our lives? ~ Evie Snow "
― Carrie Hope Fletcher , On the Other Side
" He was a giant who had caught a butterfly and knew he'd only kill it if he kept it but was so reluctant to let it go for its beauty made him something he wouldn't be without it: happy. "
" Why should I shatter your wonderful fantasy with my boring reality? ~ Evie Snow "
" You'll be able to find the strength to love someone just that much again once you've recovered from the heartbreak "
" it only takes sparks to light a fire "
" Everyone is on a journey at any given moment in their lives "
" Bad stories can create good people, and I wanted to protect them from those bad stories so they could live with the good person they'd created without ever worrying about what I had to go through to become that person. I kept those secrets because I needed to . . . and sometimes it's OK to make those kinds of decisions for the sake of your own happiness. "
" To the voices in our heads that tell us we aren't good enough: do be quiet. "
― Carrie Hope Fletcher , All That She Can See
" Things haven't always been this bad, therefore they won't always be this bad. "
" One of the things that strikes me most though is how some people don't realise they're self-harming. The phrase 'self-harm' brings up thoughts of 'cutting', but that's only a small portion of it. When you drink excessively to drown your sorrows to the point you throw up and can't see straight and/or, like a girl at my school, ended up being driven to hospital to have her stomach pumped, you've brought harm to yourself. If you take drugs to feel numb and it becomes an addiction that you can't break, you've self-harmed. When you starve yourself or binge eat to fit the latest fashions, you're pushing your body further than it can go.We need to start treating ourselves how we deserve to be treated, even if you feel that no one else does. Prove to the world you ARE worth something by treating yourself with the utmost respect and hope that other people will follow your example. And even if they don't, at least one person in the world is treating you well: YOU. "
" You were my single greatest adventure. "
" No, I won't be hopeless. I am full of hope. I'm a HopeFUL. ~ Evie Snow "
" Don't let the fear of being alone or the fear of not finding someone make you settle for less than what you deserve. "
" The person you choose to share your life with is someone who is simply along for the ride. They aren't your life itself. Your be all and end all. You merely have a mutual agreement that you're sharing a journey. So if they choose to bail, it's disappointing and hurtful of course but... the journey still continues. With all of its highs and lows and triumphs and fireworks. But now there's a free space in your car for someone who will appreciate it better. Keep going. "
" I truly believe that the amount you hurt is equal to the amount you loved that person. "
" A certain kind of magic is born when the curtain rises. Intoxicated by the smell of the greasepaint and powered by the glow of the footlights, lovers successfully elope, villains get their just deserts and people die in epic stunts and yet live to tell the tale. Thousands pay to sit and be fooled by illusions and still jump to their feet to applaud despite their gullibility. It's an inexplicable, delicious, addictive power that keeps people entranced and coming back for more, again and again. "
