11 " سرت شائعة أن "خوميني" ربما يواجه عقوبة الإعدام وكان رئيس الوزراء يميل لتوقيع عقوبة السجن لفترة من الزمن على أقل تقدير وأما الجنرال حسن بقروان رئيس أمن الدولة والمخابرات وهو رجل على درجة رفيعة من الثقافة والذكاء والإنسانية ، فهو من التمس الرأفة من الملك ورأى أنه من الضروري تهدئة الناس وإتاحة الفرصة لرجال الدين حتى يعتادوا الإصلاحات تدريجياً واعتبر أنه من المقنع في تلك اللحظة إبعاد "خوميني" ووافق الملك وكتب في مذكراته:"لم يعدم ولم يحاكم حتى، طلب منه ببساطة أن يمارس بلاغته التحريضية في مكان آخر" وأرسل رجل الدين لتركيا .. وعندما عاد إلى طهران عقب الثورة الإسلامية كأن أول من أمر بقتله هو الجنرال بقروان الرجل الذي أنقذ حياته! "
