1 " If I've learned one lesson from all that's happened to me, it's that there is no such thing as the biggest mistake of your existence. There's no such thing as ruining your life. Life's a pretty resilient thing, it turns out. "
― Sophie Kinsella , The Undomestic Goddess
2 " My favorite lecturer was Alan Bean, who flew on Apollo 12 and is one of the twelve guys who walked on the moon. After retiring from NASA, he became a painter. Alan's lecture was called " The Art of Space Exploration." He talked about the mistakes he'd made and how he learned to fix them. One lesson that took him a while to learn was that at a place like NASA you can only have an effect on certain things. You can't control who likes you. You can't control who gets assigned to flights or what NASA's budget is going to be next year. If you get caught up worrying about things you can't control, you'll drive yourself nuts. It's better to focus on the things right in front of you. Identify the places where you can have a positive impact. Concentrate there and let the rest take care of itself. The last thing Alan said to us was 'What most people want in life is to do something great. That doesn't happen often. Don't take it for granted. Don't be blasé about it. And don't blow it. A lot of times, believe it or not, people blow it. "
3 " If there is one lesson I've learned from failure and success, it's this. I am not the outcome. I am never the result. I am only the effort. "
― Kamal Ravikant , Live Your Truth
4 " If there's one lesson I can pass along to people in situations like mine, it's that the best way to see a program through -- and it took me a long time to learn this -- is simply to accept the help, cooperate, and let others do what they think is worthwhile. In the meantime, continue racing to the finish line. "
5 " You get that one chance; and damn it, you’ve got to take it! If there’s one lesson I know I will take with me for eternity, its that there are those things that might happen only once, those chances that come walking down the street, strolling out of a café; if you don’t let go and take them, they really could get away! We can get so washed out with a mindset of entitlement– the universe will do everything for us to ensure our happiness– that we forget why we came here! We came here to grab, to take, to give, to have! Not to wait! Nobody came here to wait! So, what makes anyone think that destiny will keep on knocking over and over again? It could, but what if it doesn’t? You go and you take the chance that you get; even if it makes you look stupid, insane, or whorish! Because it just might not come back again. You could wait a lifetime to see if it will...but I don’t think you should. "
― C. JoyBell C.
6 " I'm enjoying getting to know me, one lesson at a time. "
― Nikki Rowe
7 " I have learned one lesson in all this and I will share it knowing it will do no one any good. The lesson is this: " There are none more complicit in one's undoing than one's own heart" . "
8 " Since Mom wasn't exactly the most useful person in the world, one lesson I learned at an early age was how to get things done, and this was a source of both amazement and concern for Mom, who considered my behavior unladylike but also counted on me. " I never knew a girl to have such gumption," she'd say. " But I'm not too sure it's a good thing. "
9 " It was one lesson he never forgot. You don't sit back when you or a loved one is being assaulted. And you don't act like the goverment with their " proportional responses" and all that nonsense. If someone hurts you, mercy and pity must be put aside,You eliminate the enemy. You scorch the earth. "
10 " You can't cling to the side your whole life, that one lesson every parent needs to teach a child is " If you don't want to sink, you better figure out how to swim "
11 " Always in the perfect moment in the best place. For one lesson more! "
― Deyth Banger
