innocent feelings of happiness and maybe some stress,
we had our outfits picked out, like a red and pink dress.
bears and chocolates and roses were in our backpacks,
that would become our protection just the next day.
if I could go back, I would say
hold your loved ones tighter,
use your voice and become a fighter.
nothing is promised and it is okay to be upset,
we will move forward, but never forget.
tragedy doesn't get easier, we get stronger.
