" For awhile then there are no lost loves, & no overbooked workdays. For awhile everyone is safe, & none of the children have problems. For awhile everyone knows who they are & where they're going. For awhile they can set aside remorse & loss & the wider arch of grief that encompasses everything & everyone. For awhile nothing any of them says or does will irritate anyone else. For awhile they can sit in the moment, sit & not worry or shift a wad of guilt from hand to hand, or imagine what it will be like in a week when they aren't here. "
