" I have never experienced what is known as “writers block.” Ideas come to me as soon as my pen hits the paper or as soon as my fingers touch the keyboard. But I have experienced cases of, what I guess I would call, “mind stretching.” That’s when urges to write compel me in publicwhen there is so much activity going on in my thoughts that I experience strong impulses to isolate myself just so I can put what I’m thinking about on paper. I recognize an overheating of my mental engine on those occasions and I have to work hard at cooling it down. I do that by putting an extreme focus on my immediate surroundings. Which results in things like rare work achievements or a deep communication with people that I come in contact with. "
